Launched in December 2001, Rhapsody was the first music service to offer streaming on-demand access to nearly its entire library of digital music.

Rhapsody offers a free 25 song per month ad-supported service, an unlimited service with access to the full library for only $12.99 per month, and the Rhapsody To Go subscription service for $14.99 per month that also includes the ability to download songs to personal music players.

Similar to other online music stores, Rhapsody also offers 99 cent song downloads and $9.99 album downloads.
