Once you stop paying the licenses expire and you won't be able to play the tracks. If you purchase tracks from Napster at the $.99 per rate, then yes you can keep them forever.
2) u can keep them forever even with the trial. do this...go to www.wma-mp3.com/protected-music-converter.html, then download the "Protected Music Converter 0.99.46b" its the first one. then when you download a song from napster, open the file up with the converter and convert it to an mp3. this is what i do and it works awesome. hope this helps!!
