Is Vortex Credit Group on the up and up? Should I deal with these debt reduction groups?

I was contacted by this credit group who said they can eliminate my debt in 3 years. Are these companies legit?

1) They will legitimately take a fee from you and promise to fix your debt problems. I wouldn't pay someone else to do what I could do myself. Usually these companies leave the person in worse condition than when they began. Also, do you know what the word VORTEX means? LOL Why anyone would want to be in the middle of a vortex is beyond me!

2) Vortex Credit Group is a debt settlement company. They help you negotiated your debt at a lower amount in order to pay it off sooner. There are pros and cons to going this route. I used to work in a debt settlement firm, but have left after having my son. I know how to negotiate with the banks, and have helped some people in need of this solution on the side.If you are in debt and need help, I can help you and evaluate if debt settlement is really the best solution for you. Vortex and other settlement companies out there charge outrageous fees to their clients. Negotiating with banks just takes skills and not much time is needed.
