How to improve credit score being new to the USA?

I have recently moved to the USA from another country. I have years of credit history where I came from, but here I have about 4 months - one credit card with a whopping $200 limit. My VantageScore is 635. What is the fastest way to increase this score. Also, can I qualify for an auto loan with this score, or is it too low?

1) Best way is to get a few more secured cards, borrow against them, then pay them off when the bill comes due. You can also do this with what's called "pass book" loans at banks. Put money in a savings account, borrow against it, put in in another bank, borrow against that, them pay the first loan offer. Take the money out and pay the second loan off. Just make sure they report this credit history to the credit bureaus.
