If t represents the number of hours Nick tutors and b represents the number of hours he works as a bag boy, which system of inequalities represents this scenario? A) t + b greater than or equal to 20 15t + 8b = 150 B) t + b less than or greater to 20 15t + 8b greater than or equal to 150 C) t + b less than or greater to 20 15t + 8b less than or greater to 150 D) None of the systems shown represent this scenario. 15. Solve the following system of equations. Please show your work to receive full credit. x - y = 16 2x + y = 2 Explain which method you chose to solve the system and why you felt it was the best choice.1) 2pts for telling you to suck it up and do your own homework
2) you want us to do your work? good luck in the maths test, or if the teacher tells you to go up to the board to write the answer, or if you get the same questions during class..
3) I would tryy to answer all thee substitution ones, but it's going to be a wee bit too long xD. So for number 3) I'ma isolate the y in the first equation. So it'd by y = -2x +3 . So you got to put that -2x + 3 in the other equation. And since it's a "y=___", you have to put it where it says 4y. That leads to -3x+4(-2x=3)=1. From there, you do distributive property so it's -3x-8x+12=1. Combine like terms, and you get -11x + 12 = 1. Subtract 12 from each side, and then it turns out to be -11x = +-11 . To get just "x" , divide each side by -11. That gives you "x=1" So there, you have half of the answer(: And then to solve for "y", go back to that thing that said "y= -2x+3" You have to put in the value of x, so it becomes -2(1)+3. That doesn't really change anything except for getting rid of the "x", and it becomes -2+3. Do the addition, and you get 1. So your answer is "A" . (: Sorry if you didn't need the work xD. I wasn't sureee so yeah xD I don't think I can show the work for all the other one, so I'll just give you the answer :3 Number 4 is C
4) Learn to do your homework, at least. 1. -x + 2y = -6 -x = -2y -6 x = 2y + 6 2. 140 = (20+2x) + x (suppose x is the no. of males) 140 =20 + 3x 3x = 140 - 20 x=40 3. 2x + y = 3; 2x = 3 - y; x = 3/2-1/2y Substitue the value of x to the 2nd eq'n so, y = 1 Substitute the value of y to the 1st eq'n so, x = 1 (1,1) 4. Try to learn the method in no.3 the value of x is 9. 5. y = 1 6. let x be the no. of men let y be the no. of women 120 = x + y 2x-3y = 20 >>> you get the idea? solve this one on your own 7-15. >>>Practice on system of equetions util you get the whole idea. That's what I do<<<
